Day 4

It's day 4 of my last "start". I'm doing okay!!  I've tried to cut all carbs out of my diet (bread, pasta, etc.) and also all sugar. I'm sticking to a fairly high protein diet but I am including fats and veggies and fruits.

I'm not following any specific diet but going by the mentality that if it walked or grew on the earth it's okay. If it was made in a factory stay away.    Yesterday was tough for me.  I wanted something sweet pretty bad. I didn't cave though. I was pretty proud of myself. Grumpy.....but proud.

I have yet to make it to the gym. How am I going to be a fitness fanatic if I don't make it to the gym? I can't right?  I'm starting today. I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet but I'm thinking heavy weights and the C25K for cardio. We'll see how that goes.

I'll also take a picture when I'm there. I don't have a full length mirror in my house (might need to get one) but they have them in the gym. This will be my before picture! Can't wait to see what my after picture looks like.

The next 2 weeks are going to be a challenge for me. We will be working at the fair to raise money for our sons Boy Scout troop. You know what they have at the fair? FOOD!! All the yummy deep fried stuff. It'll be torture to smell that and not eat any of it. I can do it though!

UPDATE:

I went to the gym!
15 minute treadmill warmup 3.0
30 minutes elliptical
6 sets of 15 reps of each:
Bicep curls 45lbs
Tricep push downs 75lbs
Shoulder press 55lbs
Fly 30lbs (only 3 sets)
Crunches = 200

Weight today 213.4 (down 17 pounds since Jason's surgery. 21.6 total)
